Francesco Rulli on $9000 films, Ed Burns @ Morning Joe, Christy Turlington, and me
Okay, so I am Irish. So I am not a famous Hollywood actor, producer, and writer and I
am not married to Christy Turlington! Let's add Ed Burns to the Tom Brady (Gisele's husband) headed list of "Irish Guys I Don't Want To Hear From On Monday Morning"!!
Enough ranting as this is a business focused Blog and Ed Burns seems like a good guy. In this clip, actor and director Ed Burns was on MSNBC's Morning Joe to discuss his new film 'Newlyweds,' which he filmed around New York City for $9,000 in a flashback to his Brothers McMullen days. So I asked Francesco Rulli what he thought of Ed Burns latest project and he stated:
"In the Film Industry ideas are worth 1-2% of the value of a film production. Directors are 4-6% and writers range from 2 to 6% of the value.
The assurance to produce and the speed to make it happen are Priceless.
Ed Burns nails it on the head, grab the idea and get it done!
That is what we are doing at Film Annex in terms of production and distribution. And Michael, don't worry so much. You are hanging out with Italians now and you will be cool soon."
